Pamela Schenke Hadwiger Atteberry, age 79, of Charleston, Illinois, passed away on Monday, March 31, at Willow Breeze Hospice House. Pam was born on September 26, 1945, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Lahron Sche Read Obituary
Pam was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed. She was an excellent cook with great taste in wines [and tequilas, mezcals and smoky
scotches]. We were lucky enough to get many hand knitted gifts to keep us warm and frequently shared in her home canned foods. The cats will miss her dearly also.
She fought her medical battles with great determination and a fair sense of humor.

Pam was such a sweetheart. I'm glad I had the privilege of being her neighbor. I'll always remember her as an animal lover, and remember how she loved visiting with my dog and my cats ❤️

I was fortunate to have been one of the people who had the privilege to sample Pam’s cooking. Not only was she a wonderful chef, she was a kind and generous hostess. We shared meals (and a little wine) in Las Vegas, New Orleans, Champaign, and many other locations. I will miss her friendship, but take comfort in knowing she’s at peace.
Pam was always a pleasant and kind person.
