Thelma Keigley's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Thelma M. Keigley of Charleston, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 while at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, and at the remarkable age of 105. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 from 11:00 - Noon at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services honoring and celebrating her life will begin at Noon on Friday at the funeral chapel with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashmore Cemetery in Ashmore, IL. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to Lincolnland Hospice or to a charity of the donor's preference. Gifts may be left on the memorial table during the visitation or service or may be mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Thelma was born on May 5, 1909 in Coles County, Illinois, a daughter of the late Steven and Theodocia (Connor) Toops. She married Dale Keigley and they were the parents of 6 children. Surviving are 4 daughters, Kathleen (Truman) Kerns of Kansas, IL, Naomi Butler of Charleston, Carolyn (Don) Brown of Terre Haute, IN and Sharon Kellner of Charleston; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Potter; a son, Fred Keigley; a grandson, 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and 4 sons-in-law, Robert Kellner, Carl Butler, Bud Walden and Robert Wright.
