Sonna L. Dust's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Sonna Lynn Dust, age 57 of Charleston, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. There will be no formal services. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the University of Chicago Medicine - Brain Tumor Center. Gifts may be left at the visitation or mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Sonna was born October 9, 1959 in Charleston, Illinois. She married Scott Dust on July 11, 2012 in Charleston and he survives. She is also survived by her parents, Paul and Patricia (Aten) Cummins of Newton, Illinois; two children, Luke Lawrence of Charleston and Samantha Lawrence of Baltimore, Maryland; two brothers and a sister. Sonna retired from Eastern Illinois University where she was employed as office manager in the Science and Technology Department. Sonna was a wonderful person who loved life. Her positive spirit combined with a loving, kind and generous heart created many beautiful memories to be cherished by all who knew her.
