Sharon "Kitty" James' Obituary
Sharon M. James, 86, of Ellis Grove, IL, formerly of Charleston, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 02, 2024 at her daughters residence in St. Clair, Missouri.
Sharon was born on June 23, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, to Russel and Maureen (Harrington) Wyeth. She was a 1956 graduate of Charleston High School. Shortly after she graduated, she married her husband, Dr. Daniel Joseph James on June 3, 1956, in Charleston, IL. The couple lived in Charleston, then moved to Eureka, MO and they started and raised their family. They moved to Carthage, IL and later to Ellis Grove, IL in retirement. Sharon enjoyed gardening and loved her many pets and enjoyed the many wild animals she fed.
She is survived by two children, Daniel Joseph (Carhlon Gold) James II of Redmon, WA and Cathleen R. (John M. Hittler) James of St. Clair, MO; four grandchildren, Jeremy Hittler (Fiancée Alexis Camden), Jacob (Wendi) Hittler, Joshua (Erica Nelson) Hittler, Johnny (Victoria) Hittler; and three great-grandchildren, Izabella Hittler, McKenna Hittler, and one great grandchild expected In May 2025.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Daniel Joseph James; one grandchild, Joseph Hittler; and her parents, Russel and Maureen Wyeth.
Graveside services will be on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Mound Cemetery in Charleston, IL., with burial to follow.
