Robin L. Horn's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Robin Lynn Horn, age 69 of Charleston and formerly of Ashmore, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Robin's family invites you to join them this evening, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, to honor and celebrate her life. Memorial gifts in her honor may be made to Carl Sandburg Helping Hands and left at the funeral home or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. Robin was born May 26, 1950 in Charleston, the daughter of William and Bonnie (Coartney) Weber. Robin married Frank Horn on June 25, 2002 in Charleston. Left to cherish their many wonderful memories is Frank, her husband of 17 years; her son, Bill Swinford and wife Dawn Freeman of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a grandson, Nathan Swinford and wife Ashley, also of Virginia Beach; her parents, Bill and Bonnie Weber of Ashmore; three brothers, Scott Weber and wife Jeanie of Ashmore, Marc Weber and wife RusseAnn of Charleston and Chris Weber and wife Jo of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; along with several nieces and nephews. Robin was a graduate of Charleston High School and furthered her education at Eastern Illinois University where she attained both a Bachelors and Masters Degree. Robin was a respected teacher and colleague at Carl Sandburg Elementary School in Charleston where she established many long and endearing friendships. She was a devoted teacher and throughout her teaching career she enriched the lives of many children who were fortunate enough to be in her classroom. Robin's family will forever cherish the special joys and blessings she brought to their lives as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.
