Bob was born on May 30, 1931 in Westfield, Illinois, the only son of the late Jesse E. and Lula Jane (Johnson) Snyder. He married the love of his life, Fannie Helen Cook on November 3, 1957 in New Brunswick, Indiana and they celebrated 47 years of marriage prior to her death on December 3, 2004. He is survived by a sister, Elta Snyder of Casey, Illinois, a nephew, Jerry Comer of Florida, and his adopted family, Mervin Lee and his children, Nathaniel and Esther Lee of Kansas, Illinois. In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Comer. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country during the Korean War. He was an employee of Trailmobile and later went to work for O.C. Bruning (Arkwright) until his retirement in 1994. Bob was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church and dearly loved his Lord, his church and his church family - he truly missed not being able to join them in worship when his health no longer permitted. Bob was happy spending time with friends and loved ones but was also content when sitting in his ""gotcha chair"" watching a good television show. Bob was quiet by nature and possessed a kind and caring heart. He dearly loved Fannie and they were happy being at home in one another's company. Bob was blessed with a father-son relationship with Mervin, and Nathaniel and Esther dearly loved their Papa Bob. Memories of Bob are now treasures for those who knew and loved him.
