Rhonda L Turner's Obituary
Rhonda L. Turner, 61, passed away peacefully at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Thoughtful donations in her memory may be directed to the family for final expenses, made out to Heather Lain and mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, Illinois 61920.
Rhonda was born the daughter of Jackie Lee Turner and Mary Kathryn (Evermon) Turner in Mattoon, Illinois on June 23, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother-in-law, Robert Stephen Sullivan. Survivors include her mother, Mary Turner, of Charleston; daughters, Heather Turner-Lain (Bradley) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Crystal Turner-Cobb (Joshua) of Ashmore, and a son, Everett Turner of Charleston. Also surviving are grandchildren; Destiny Brown (Devin), Tyler O'Dell and Taylee O'Dell all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brianna O'Dell of Charleston, Chance Cobb of Humboldt, and Parker Cobb of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren, Carson Heddins of Charleston, and Emersyn O'Dell of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also left to mourn her loss are a brother, Jack Turner (Lori) of Oakland, and sisters, Robin Sullivan and Rebecca Campbell, both of Charleston. In addition, Rhonda leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Rhonda was a gifted tattoo artist who spent her free time reading, particularly true crime stories, and collecting light houses. She also enjoyed time spent by the ocean and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
