Rebecca White-Morris' Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Rebecca L. White-Morris, age 42 of Charleston passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 while at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Memorial Services honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Pastor Tom Farris officiating. Memorial gifts in her name may be made online at www.vhl.org.Rebecca was born January 3, 1976 in Milford, Massachusetts, a daughter of William and Linda (Thibault) White. She married David E. Morris, Jr. on August 3, 2002 in Springfield, Illinois and he survives. In addition to David, she is survived by her father, William White, two sisters, Roberta (Blaine) Dodrill and Raquel (Michael) Auriemma; a niece Brianna Smith and her son Oliver; and a nephew, Austin Smith. Her mother preceded her in death.Rebecca was a member of the Alumni Association at both Providence College in Rhode Island, where she attained her Bachelor's Degree and Frostburg State University in Maryland where she received her Master's Degree. David and Rebecca located to Charleston when Rebecca accepted a position as a Resident Director at Eastern Illinois University. Rebecca was passionate in her research of VHL, a genetic condition which she battled for many years. She also enjoyed watching television, solving crossword and brain teaser puzzles, and cheering for her beloved Boston Red Sox.
