Paul Allen McDivitt's Obituary
Paul Allen McDivitt, age 58, of Lerna, Illinois, passed away at his home on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born on June 12, 1967, in Mattoon, Illinois, to Richard and Kathy (Beasley) McDivitt.
Paul is survived by his parents, Richard and Kathy McDivitt of Lerna; one sister, Kimberly (Charles) Springman of Sullivan, Illinois; his niece, Kara (Mitch) Molzen of Sullivan, Illinois; and his nephews, Jake Hudson of Alaska and Aaron (Sarah) Springman of Bethany, Illinois. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Rick” McDivitt.
Paul was a graduate of Charleston High School and later attended Lake Land College. He was previously employed as a pressman at JJ Collins in Charleston. Paul took pride in his work and valued the routine and relationships it brought into his life.
He attended First Baptist Church in Mattoon. Above all, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and being surrounded by those he loved.
A private graveside service will be held in Enon Cemetery in Ashmore, Illinois.
