Paul Boyd's Obituary
Paul Joseph Boyd, 84, formerly of Chicago, IL; Binghamton, NY; and Champaign, IL, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Charleston, IL.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ann and Ed Boyd of Calumet City, IL; his brother, Donald Boyd; and his daughter, Deborah E. Boyd.
Paul is survived by his two children, Paula Boyd of Champaign, IL, and David Boyd of Port Crane, NY; and by his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Boyd-Sharpe and Riley Boyd-Sharpe, both of Champaign, IL.
Paul was proud of his 32-year career as a service planning representative with IBM, from which he retired and enjoyed many years of travel and hobbies. A lifelong tinkerer, he loved building and fixing things, but his greatest passion was motorcycles. He was a long-time treasurer of the Binghamton, NY chapters of the Virago Owners Club and the Harley Owners Group. He also rode with honor as a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, participating in services that honored military personnel and first responders.
A memorial service will be held in the Binghamton, NY region in late spring.
