Patricia J. Reeley's Obituary
Patricia J. Reeley, age 86, of Charleston, IL passed away at 1:34 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born March 16, 1938 in Tuscola, IL the daughter of Walter and Hulda (Greve) Quick. On April 12, 1958, she married James Fredrick Reeley, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1998, after forty years of marriage.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Renae Wesch of Charleston, IL; son Timothy James Reeley (Janet) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Brady Michael Wesch (Carly) of St. Louis, MO, Brigitte Renee Robinson (Mikey) of Charleston, IL, Casey Janiece Wesch of Charleston, IL, and Cody James Reeley of Louisville, KY; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Herendeen, Aerilyn Herendeen, August Robinson, Breck Wesch, Emberlynn Sarver, and Kyle Kay Wesch; sister, Helen Barrett of Hume, IL; and sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Quick of Chrisman, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Leonard Reeley, and siblings, Dorothy Barrett, Eileen Church, Retha Keller, Walter M. Quick Jr., and Phyllis Williams.
Patricia, a graduate of Brocton High School in 1956, dedicated herself to a fulfilling career. For thirty-four years, she served as a secretary at Moore Business Forms, showcasing her commitment and organizational prowess until it closed. Later, she ventured into accounts payable at Charleston Manor and then worked at Walmart, demonstrating her adaptability and work ethic.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and attended Bushton Christian Church in Bushton, IL. Patricia had a compassionate heart for her family. She found joy in sewing, sitting on her front porch, bird watching, and attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's events. Lively family discussions were centered around her kitchen table. A sports enthusiast, she particularly enjoyed watching basketball, football, and horse racing.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 with Chris Coffey officiating at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, IL. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
