Please join her family in celebrating the bright light that was Norah at a Celebration of Life Open House, to be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre at the Doudna Fine Arts Center located on the E.I.U. Campus. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the Mattoon Area Family YMCA with Non-Stop Norah written in the memo line. Memorials will benefit Girls on the Run East Central Illinois and may be mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920 or made online by visiting https://www.raceplanner.com/donate/non-stop-norah-celebration-fund. Norah was born August 17, 2004 in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Brenton Hadley and Christine Kilgore. Left to cherish a multitude of fond memories is her father, Brent Hadley, her mother and stepfather, Christy Kilgore and Eric Hiltner, and her brother, Ethan Hadley, all of Charleston; her grandparents, John and Dollie Kilgore of Charleston and Darrell & Janet Hadley of Mt. Zion, Illinois; uncles and aunts and their families including Jay Kilgore (Lexi Pearl) of Los Angeles, California, Rodney (Vickie) Hadley and Denise Hadley-Boaz, all of Mt. Zion, Illinois. Norah was currently an 8th grade student at the Charleston Middle School. She was creative, funny, thoughtful, brave, and sometimes bossy. She was a good friend, a great sister, and the best daughter anyone could ask for. Norah was an adventurer and wanted to try everything - playing instruments, baking, singing, dancing, traveling, roller coasters, gymnastics, ziplining, riding horses, learning to drive, crafts, cooking, giving manis and pedis, and so much more. One of her favorite things to do was getting gifts for others. She loved picking out just the right thing for those she loved. Her family's hope is that by becoming an organ donor through Gift of Hope, Norah can continue to give that perfect gift to many people, and she can keep adventuring in this world. Her sense of fun was balanced by a strong sense of responsibility, and she could always be trusted with complicated adult tasks. Being an honors student, her latest career plan was to be a physical therapist because she wanted to do something medical but "really hates puke" . Norah loved so many things but her greatest love was for her family in whose lives she leaves an aching void and many bright memories.
