She was a proud and doting grandmother to Liam and Nora Schubert. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glea, and her parents.
Marilyn graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville and later earned her degree from the University of Evansville. Determined and hardworking, she attended night classes for nearly a decade—while also balancing her education with her day job at a law office and raising her young family—in order to fulfill her goal of becoming a paralegal. Over the years, she also worked as a secretary at a bank, at Remax Realty, and at Barnes & Noble.
Marilyn had a deep love for music. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the choir at Wesley United Methodist Church and the Charleston Community Choir. She loved her Bible study group, affectionately known as the "Bible Babes." Gardening was her passion, along with quilting, reading, traveling and shopping.
