Marie E. Clark's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Marie E. Clark, age 96 of Charleston and formerly of Flint, Michigan, passed away on May 15, 2017 at her Lakewood Village home. There will be no local services and inurnment will be at a later date in Beaverton, Michigan.Thoughtful donations in Marie's honor may be made to the Charleston Wesley United Methodist Church and may be mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. Marie was born February 28, 1921 in Hope, Michigan, the daughter of Daniel and Anna (Ashbrook) Broka. She married Virgil Hall Clark in Los Angeles, CA on January 13, 1943 and they were married 60 years prior to his death on October 1, 2003. She is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Cherie Sutliff of Charleston; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Lines of Bloomington, IL and Amanda Abrams of Mattoon, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Colin Lines and Chloe Bickel; and two sisters. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 8 siblings. Marie's family wishes to thank Amy Neal and her staff at Lakewood Village, and Lincolnland Hospice for the wonderful loving care and assistance they received.
