Lillie M. Weber's Obituary
ASHMORE, IL - Lillie Mae Weber, age 90 of Ashmore, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 while at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 902 Cleveland Avenue in Charleston. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Preschool Program. Gifts may be left during the visitation or service or may be mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Lillie was born September 21, 1925 in Hutton Township, Coles County, Illinois, the youngest of six children born to the late James Orvia and Lillie Ethel (Lee) Baker. She was living in Rockford, IL with one of her siblings, when on a return visit home, met the love of her life. She and Robert M. Weber were later married on July 16, 1960 in Paris, IL and they have celebrated 55 years of marriage. In addition to Bob, she is survived by their son, R. Gregory Weber and wife Mary of Bloomington, IL; three grandchildren, Shelby Weber of Phoenix, AZ and Rachael Weber and Ryan Weber both of Bloomington; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Ernest Baker and three sisters, Hazel Beauchamp Williams, Lorraine Carlson and Mary E. Fleming. Lillie was employed at the Coles County National Bank before accepting a position with Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in their billing department. She was a woman of faith and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charleston, and a life member of the Charleston American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. As a young woman, Lillie enjoyed golfing and throughout her life has been an avid reader. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with Bob. Her family was always her priority and her love and devotion for them was evident in all that she did. Lillie's grandchildren were her pride and joy and the time they spent together was truly special and memorable. She had many friends who were blessed through her loyal friendship and a family who received the daily blessings of a close and loving relationship with this truly special wife, mother and grandmother.Click to view Lillie's memorial video.
