Larry G. Veach's Obituary
LERNA, IL - Larry Glenn Veach, age 74 of Lerna, Illinois passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home. The Graveside Service for family and friends honoring and celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston with Father John Titus officiating. There will be no visitation. It is requested that thoughtful donations in his honor be made to the American Cancer Society and those gifts may be mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Larry was born on August 22, 1939 in Charleston to the late Glenn Clayborn and Maxine (Scott) Veach. He is survived by two sons, Rick Veach and wife Jenny of Charleston and Michael Veach; several grandchildren including Taylor Ann Veach and Jordyn Francis Veach of Charleston; and a brother, Jack Wayne Veach, wife Sue and their family of Charleston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister and a grandson, Christopher Veach. Larry was a plumber from 1963 until his retirement and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 149. He was an avid reader and was a ""workaholic"". He lived life conservatively and preferred to be self-sufficient - doing things himself rather than asking for help. His granddaughters could always generate a smile and he will be dearly missed by his family who loved him.
