Larry C. Miller's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Larry Clark Miller, age 78 of Charleston, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 while at his Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center home. Larry's family will host a Memorial Service honoring and celebrating his life at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Friendship Baptist Church located at 18709 Harrison Street Road, with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating. A meal will be served immediately following the service. A private inurnment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. It is requested that thoughtful donations in his honor be made to the March of Dimes. The family is being assisted by Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Larry was born September 9, 1937 in New Chicago, IN, a son of the late Darrell F. and Ida (Glosser) Miller. He is survived by two children, Greg Miller of Paris, IL and Lisa Miller of Urbana, IL; 4 grandchildren, Emily Dawn Miller, Camilia Dawn Miller and Alexis Dawn Miller, all of Paris and Drew Milam of Urbana; four sisters, Darla Finney of Ashmore, Nancy (Dave) Cox, Linda (Mike) Zimmerle and Karen (Steve) McComas, all of Charleston; a brother, Jim Miller of Madisonville, KY; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Chuck Finney. Larry was employed by Cardinal Cable TV in Paris for 8 years and for 23 years was employed in the Quality Control Department of the Paris Zenith Factory. He was quite proud of the fact that during his employment with Zenith, he never missed a day of work. When living in Paris he attended the First United Methodist Church and his church and church family were always an important aspect of his life. Larry also enjoyed camping and traveling.
