Judith A. Wilson's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Judith Anne Wilson, age 78 of Hutton Township, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 while at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Funeral Service, honoring and celebrating her life, will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the funeral chapel with Pastors Ray Finney and Michael Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Hurricane Cemetery located south of Charleston. Donations in Judy's honor may be made to her family to be disbursed at their discretion. Gifts may be left at the visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Judy was born on September 13, 1940 in Arcola, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy "Dottie" (Seaman) Huddlestun. She married August Wilson on July 25, 1969 and they would have soon celebrated 50 years of marriage and friendship. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a wonderful and loving family which includes two children, Kevin Wilson and his friend Tricia Albert of Ashmore, Illinois and Cris Lane and her husband Troy of Windsor, Illinois; two granddaughters, Stephanie Poland and husband Tyler of Mattoon, Illinois and Rachel Cavazos and husband Jaime of Sullivan, Illinois; two great-grandsons, Warren Poland and Alex Cavazos; her sister-in-law, Pam Huddlestun of rural Charleston; several nieces and nephews; and lastly her canine best friend, Jenny. Judy was preceded by her brother, Lynne Huddlestun on April 26 of this year. Following her graduation from Charleston High School, Judy went to work for Collegiate Cap and Gown in Champaign. She later was employed by Charleston National Bank in Charleston and George Corrie Accounting in Oblong, Illinois. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Nancy's Lettering. As a young adult, Judy was baptized into the Walnut Grove Christian Church family. Her membership still remains there but she has attended Salisbury Church with her husband and family throughout her married life. She held membership with the Charleston Sopha C Chapter of Eastern Star and placed her membership with the Elect Lady Chapter 40 in Mattoon when the two combined. Judy loved the country life, growing a garden, canning and baking and being a 4-H mom. She enjoyed sales and going with Augie in their search for antiques, watching the hummingbirds outside her kitchen window, and the family dogs. But her greatest treasures were her family. Augie was the love of her life and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her an abundance of blessings and joys. Judy's family and friends have many fond memories to share and to cherish. Funeral ServiceThe funeral service celebrating the life of Judy Wilson was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Adams Funeral Chapel with Pastors Ray Finney and Michael Stewart officiating. Sharon Finney, pianist provided prelude selections. Recorded music of ""Leaning on the Everlasting Arms"" and ""Amazing Grace"" were played. Vocalists Sharon Finney and Kim Stewart sang ""Wonderful Savior"", a favorite of Judy's. Burial followed in Hurricane Cemetery south of Charleston. Pallbearers were"" Rex Johns, Troy Lane, Jim Pearcy, Tyler Poland, Jack Sims and Jeff Winnett and Honorary Pallbearers were: Alex and Jaime Cavazos and Warren Poland.
