Joe was a blessing to everyone. He always had a smile and a warm greeting for everyone. Years ago, I joined Comptons Traditional Bowhunters as a life member. They had previously given a sterling silver belt buckle with the life membership. The club had only one buckle left and auctioned it off at the membership meeting that night. An unknown person and I were the main bidders. When I quit bidding at $600, another person behind me jumped in and was the eventual high bidder. That person was Joe Furlong. He paid for the buckle and gave it to me as a gift. That was Joe, always generous to everyone. Rest in peace, my friend. Bill Kissner.
