Joanne Bosler's Obituary
Joanne Bosler, 90, of Charleston, Illinois went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Louis and left at the visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
Joanne was born July 4, 1932 in Morgan Twp, Illinois the daughter of James and Anna May (Hudson) Hunter. She married the love of her life George W. Bosler on January 17, 1950 in Charleston, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2002. She is survived by her two children, Bill (Suzie) Bosler, and Doris (Bob) Hill both of Charleston, IL; eight grandchildren, Gabe Bosler, Gara (Gary) Sims, Maegan (Brad) Roper, Bailey (Dexter) Swensen, T.W. (Cassidy) Bosler, Chase Bosler, Chelsie (Aaron) Hacker, and Chad (Tonya) Hill; and fifteen great grandchildren, Cody, Calla, Camden, and Cruz Hill, Nikki (Clayton) Campton, Matthias, Lainie, and Reuben Hacker, Dakota Roper, Parx, and Nixon Swensen, Grady, and Averie Bosler, and Austin and Reagan Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Bosler; sister, Lela Heath; two brothers, Wayne, and Lowell Hunter; and great-grandson, Cooper Hill.
Joanne graduated from Charleston High School class of 1950. She was the Charleston Community School District Secretary of the Junior High for many years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 1592. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, knitting, reading, and ceramics. Most importantly she loved time spent with family and cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
