Jason R. Fuqua's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Jason Ray Fuqua, age 33 of Charleston, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2015 while at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Funeral Services honoring and celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Reverend Dr. Bob Swickard officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral chapel for one hour prior to the services. A Private Inurnment for family will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston. It is requested that thoughtful donations in his honor be made to Jessica Fuqua to assist with Cade's and Kira's future expenses. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service or may be mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Jason was born on January 15, 1982 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a son of Dale and Cheryl L. (Allison) Fuqua. He married Jessica Miller on May 30, 2009 in Charleston and she survives, along with their six year old twins, son Cade and daughter, Kira. In addition he is survived by his father and stepmother, Dale (Jody Newman) Fuqua of Norman, OK, his grandmother, Rita Austin of Charleston; an aunt and uncle, Bonnie (Randy) Hann and cousins, Gina Tomlinson and Justin Hann, all of Riverview, FL; his mother-in-law, Debbie Miller of Paris, IL; his father-in-law, Billy Dean Miller of Kansas, IL; a brother-in-law, Billy Miller; and truly special friends, Kevin Lester and Susan and Sheryl Snyder. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Fuqua; a brother, Matthew Fuqua; and grandfather, Charles Allison. Jason was employed by Addus Health Care and attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston with his family. He enjoyed shooting guns, deer hunting and was a huge fan of Chicago Cubs baseball. It was Jason's family that was his love and motivation - he was a Champion Dad and Husband. His dedication and devotion to his family was paramount in all that he did. Jessica, Cade and Kira have been blessed through the special bonds of love and family they shared with this special man they knew as husband and dad. They will always treasure their countless memories.
