Geoffrey L. Sans' Obituary
Geoffrey Laird Sans, age 79, of Charleston, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Arbor Rose of Charleston.
Geoffrey was born on October 17, 1945, in Chicago, IL, to Fred and Mary (Lincoln) Sans. On December 28, 1966, he married the love of his life, Laurie Kallick, in Evanston, IL. Together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage, full of love, laughter, and family.
Geoffrey is survived by his devoted wife, Laurie; two loving daughters, Rebecca (Marvin) Golden of Charleston and Jennifer (Doug) Quintas-Smith of Aurora, IL; five cherished grandchildren, Ashlee (JR) Carter, Cody (Courtney) Hayes, Christopher Quintas, Alexa Quintas, and Nicholas Quintas; and three adored great-grandchildren, Brayden Fuller, Gunner Hayes, and Braxton Hayes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tommy Lincoln.
Geoffrey graduated from Evanston Township High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in food sciences from the University of Georgia. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with Campbell’s Soup for 44 years.
A man of many interests, Geoffrey had a deep love for his family and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a food enthusiast, a puzzle lover, and a master of Sudoku. He nurtured a lifelong passion for model trains and took pride in maintaining a well-kept lawn. Geoffrey also enjoyed reading, watching movies, and sharing meaningful moments with those closest to him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2230 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, IL.
Geoffrey will be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp mind, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched.
