Frank Edward “Fez” Zeigler Jr., age 66, of Charleston, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born on July 19, 1959, in Mattoon, IL, Frank was the son of Frank Edward Zeigler Sr. and Virginia (Stevens) Taylor.
Frank, affectionately known as “Fez” to friends and family, was a proud graduate of Charleston High School and a beloved member of the community. He operated his own business, Fez Taxi, for many years—a role he truly loved. Driving wasn’t just a job for Frank; it was a way to connect with others, offer a helping hand, and brighten someone’s day with his good humor and big heart.
Frank had a zest for life and a personality that drew people in. He enjoyed karaoke, bowling, playing bingo, and was never far from his beloved dog, Ace. Those who knew him best will remember his infectious laugh, generous spirit, and the joy he brought to every gathering.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Delta Zeigler and Beatrice Shannon; his cherished grandchildren, KeShawn Wilder, KaMar Gillespie, Letty Williams, and Miguel Gonzalez; and great-grandchildren, Kylan Wilder and Kohen Wilder. He also leaves behind siblings Robert Taylor, Michael (Debbie) Taylor, Barb (Walter) Farris, and Glenda Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Mark Evans.
Frank's love and warmth touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
