Forest "Frosty" Heath's Obituary
Forest "Frosty" Heath, age 77 of Charleston, IL passed away Sunday December 1, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Forest was born on September 5, 1947 in Charleston, IL the son of Margery and Jerry Heath. He married Connie Tuggle on August 1, 1980 in Charleston, IL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years; four children, Kelly Heath (Robert Snow) of Chicago, Jamison (Patrick) Barry of Chicago, Lindsay Heath of Chicago, and Mark Hutchison (Stacie Rodgers-Livengood) of Champaign; two awesome grandchildren, Lyra and Iris Barry; brother-in-law Carson Evans of Longmont, CO; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Evans.
Frosty was a 1965 graduate of Charleston High School. He attended Wabash College and completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Eastern Illinois University in Zoology. Frosty worked at Coles County National Bank, Reasor Corporation, National Homes, Luxury Homes, and retired from Kirchner Building Center in 2020.
Frosty was an avid sports and nature enthusiast. He closely followed Eastern Illinois University and University of Illinois sports, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. He was a dedicated superfan who rarely missed any of his children's sports and events. Forest enjoyed basketball, volleyball, and racquetball as well as many backyard sports like badminton, frisbee, croquet, and washers. He loved watching the birds and local wildlife at his home outside Charleston as well as taking in all of the natural beauty wherever his travels took him. He was also known as the "Grill Master" and loved playing cards, especially Euchre. Frosty was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Charleston where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years.
The family invites friends and family to gather at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, IL, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to visit and share memories.
