Elaine has been my friend since first grade at Elmwood School in Danville. The last time I saw her was about 3 years ago in Danville when she and Diane Cory Strong and I got together for lunch. I remember thinking how familiar her voice and manner was and
Mrs Hood was my 3rd grade teacher. I credit her for my love of reading. She was a lovely person. Truly sorry to learn of her passing.
