Donna Jane Baldwin's Obituary
Donna Jane Baldwin, age 97, of Charleston, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born on June 24, 1928, in Westfield, IL, to Huber Samuel and Chlotilde Violet (Lippincott) Biggs. On September 21, 1946, she married the love of her life, Charles Delmar Baldwin. They shared 48 devoted years together until his passing on December 23, 1994.
Donna is survived by her three children: Sandra Jean Baldwin Davis and husband Logan of Charleston; Gerald Lynn Baldwin and wife Joni of Las Vegas, NV; and Janice Sue Baldwin Spitz and husband Steve of Charleston. She is also lovingly remembered by six grandchildren: Nathan (Cherie) Davis, Erica (Dominic) Perrino, Matt (Erika) Baldwin, Leslie (Chucky) Son, Liz (Taylor) Hart, and Jaime (Justin) Evatt; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
A lifelong resident of Charleston, Donna completed her education at Eastern Teachers College High School. Afterward, she devoted herself to creating a warm, nurturing home where she and Delmar raised their family with love and care.
Donna was a faithful lifelong member of First Christian Church in Charleston and a longtime member of the Charleston Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, planting and arranging flowers, and was known for her talent in sewing beautiful clothes for her family.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
