David Junius Bower's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - David Junius Bower passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the age of 25. The Funeral Mass will be held at Noon on Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at Tenth & Jefferson Streets in Charleston with Father John Titus presiding. Visitation for family and friends will also be held Monday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. Following the Funeral Mass David's earthly body will be cremated. David's family has requested that memorial gifts in his honor be made to the Charleston High School Soccer Program. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the Visitation or Mass or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. David was born August 24, 1987 in St. Paul, Minnesota, lived also in Ohio and New Mexico, and was currently residing in Charleston. He was a 2006 graduate of Charleston High School and a proud member of the CHS soccer team, playing a sport he dearly loved. David was a former student at Eastern Illinois University and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He loved music and movies, reading non-fiction, and sharing time and conversations with family and friends. David leaves his parents, Ken and Kathy Bower of Charleston; brothers and sisters, Kenny, Lisa, Patrick, Dick, Joe, Steve, Chris, Robert and Leeanne; grandparents, Ed and Nancy Bower of Mesa, Arizona and Agnes Roman of Akron, Ohio; and numerous uncles and aunts, especially Diane Bower, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Roman. David was a sweet and sensitive young man and will be dearly missed by those who knew him well.
