Curtis Harold Conway's Obituary
Curtis Harold Conway, age 68, of Charleston, Illinois, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Charleston. He was born on June 24, 1957, in Litchfield, Illinois, to Jack and Vivian (Pryor) Stout.
On June 23, 1992, Curtis married the love of his life, Donna Anderson, in Branson, Missouri. Together they shared 30 years of marriage, building a life filled with love and devotion until Donna’s passing on October 26, 2022.
Curtis is survived by his children, Daylea (Michael) Ethridge of Charleston, Illinois, and Craig (Sierra) Waller of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; his three cherished grandchildren, Oliver Ethridge, Owen Ethridge, and Dash Waller; and his siblings, Terry Conway of Litchfield, Illinois, and Teena Alterogt of Ohlman, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna, and his parents, Jack and Vivian Conway.
Curtis spent his entire working life as a truck driver, a career he truly loved. He dedicated many years to Parrish Trucking Inc., where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in a job well done before retiring.
In his free time, Curtis enjoyed being on the road, fishing, and taking walks with his dog. He especially loved being a dog owner and found great comfort and companionship in his four-legged friend. Curtis was a simple man who appreciated life’s quiet moments and the freedom of the open road.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
