CHARLESTON, IL - Cleo Geneva Boswell, age 105 of Charleston, entered her Heavenly Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 while at Charleston Rehab and Health Care Center. A Graveside Service honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mound Cemetery in Charleston with Pastor Mike Southards officiating. Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston is assisting the family with arrangements and services.Cleo was born April 2, 1912 in Charleston, the only child of Bert and Myrtle (Shellabarger) Gilman. She married Harold R. Boswell on October 12, 1979 in Decatur, Illinois and they were married only four years prior to his death on November 12, 1983. Cleo is survived by her cousins, Norma Carolyn (Myers) Brown and husband Charlie of Decatur, Illinois, Marian Joan (Myers) Stark and husband James of Kansas, Illinois and Madonna (Myers) McLain of Flora, Illinois. Cleo and her family owned and operated Gilman's Market, a neighborhood grocery store located at the intersection of Division and State Streets.
