Charlotte L. Paden's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Charlotte L. Paden, age 92 of Charleston, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 while at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Charleston. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18 at Adams Funeral Chapel. The funeral service, honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation with Reverend Janice Kahl officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Huckaba Cemetery located east of Charleston. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the Activity Fund at Hilltop. Gifts may be left at the visitation/service or mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
Charlotte was born August 10, 1927 in Charleston, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Harold and Lenora (Hughes) Fleming. She married Earl Paden on June 19, 1946 in Charleston and they celebrated nearly 46 years of marriage prior to his death on January 22, 1992. Charlotte is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Lori Buttram and her husband Bernie of Charleston; a son Darrel Paden of Charleston; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Paden of Robinson, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Candy, Lee, Tia, Crystal, Larry, Amy, Olivia, and Lauren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Sue Fleming of Virginia; and nieces including Jackie Fleming Krehbiel, also of Virginia. Charlotte was also preceded in death by two sons, Terry and Gary Paden; and her brother, Jack Fleming.
Charlotte was formerly a member of Women of the Moose Charleston Chapter #1175. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and tune in to Walker Texas Ranger on the television. She was a dedicated follower of the NASCAR Circuit often keeping track of the drivers and their stats. Charlotte always made family her priority and she was a dearly loved wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family that was blessed with her unconditional love.

FUNERAL SERVICE
The funeral service celebrating the life of Charlotte Paden was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Adams Funeral Chapel with Reverend Janice Kahl officiating. Musical selections included "One Pair of Hands" and "Go Rest High on that Mountain". Mrs. Paden's cremated body will be laid to rest at the Huckaba Cemetery located east of Charleston at a later date.
