I first met Carl when he worked at South Branch and after that would often see him when I visited Lincoln Library. After he moved to Charleston we kept in touch through phone calls and Christmas cards. Having spent my working life in Brookens Library we could talk for hours on the many interests we shared in common. I enjoyed his intelligence, quick wit and sense of humor and still recall all the laughter we shared. I will miss him.
I worked with Carl in the '70's at South Branch Lincoln Library Springfield. He was a Page, great guy and I regret not having stayed in touch with him over the years. What I remember most was his pale blue Mustang convertible. He was a great guy to work with,,,,always on time, always in a good mood, and reliable. I was fortunate to know him.
I worked with Carl at Lincoln Library in Springfield in the 1980's. He was a wonderful co-worker and we had a lot of fun. He an I and another friend visited my aunt and uncle in the Florida Keys in 1987 and had a wonderful time roaming around Key West and Miami. I will never forget that trip or Carl's good humor as a travel companion. He will be remembered by his many friends and those he mentored along the way. Rest in peace, my friend. Karen Graff
