Braven Lee Pearcy, newborn son of Macy Jo Pearcy, passed away surrounded by loved ones at 1:31 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Sweet Braven was born on August 1, 2024, at 10:52 a.m. in Urbana, IL.
Survivors include his mother, Macy Jo Pearcy of Charleston, IL; his grandparents, Misty Pearcy and Josh Carter, and Jack and Casie Pearcy II, all of Charleston, IL; his aunts, Megan Pearcy, Jasmin Pearcy, and Jaycee Pearcy, all of Charleston, IL, and Daphne Carter of Portland, TN; his uncle, Blayne Carter of Charleston, IL; and his great-grandparents, Michael and Deb Taylor, and Cindy Pearcy, all of Charleston, IL. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Jack Pearcy.
Braven was the light of his momma's life, a beacon of love and hope even in his short time with us. His presence brought an immeasurable amount of love, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who held him dear. Imagine a love so strong, it made saying hello and goodbye in the same day worth all the pain. Braven's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, who will carry the love he brought into the world with them always.
