Moody and her husband George of Charleston and her son, Dave Shoot and his wife Sherry of Findlay, IL; eleven grandchildren, Deb Davis of Chatham, IL, Matt Davis of Charleston, Jason Shoot and wife Sarah of Makanda, IL, Josh Shoot and wife Karen of Edwardsville, IL, Michaela Shoot-Canario of Warren, RI, Kandace Thompson of Florida, Andrea Harmon and husband Jody of Lithia Springs, GA, Sarah Harris of Douglasville, GA, Jeri Muccio and husband Ernie, Bill Fahey and Ryan Shoot Fahey, all of Rhode Island; eleven great-grandchildren, Morgan and Jacob Lauher, Dagan, Talia, Andrew, Averie and Madi Shoot, Alexa and Lucas Canario, Jacob Harmon and Hannah Harris; her sister, Lela Mae Klickovich of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She has been a member of Central Christian Church in Charleston for many years where she was actively involved in its activities and ministries including the Prime Time group which assembled there weekly. She was also a member of the Charleston VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Paul McVey Post 1592, Order of the Eastern Star Sopha C Chapter and the United Ostomy Association. Betty's hobbies included sewing and embroidery. She also enjoyed fishing until she caught the first fish and mushroom hunting until she came across the first snake. Henry and Betty made a good team, especially when it came to gardening - Henry tended the vegetable garden and Betty enjoyed canning the fruits of his labor. Betty enjoyed socializing, and the social butterfly that she was along with her wonderful sense of humor, allowed her to enjoy many enduring friendships. She was not only a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose devotion to her family was unconditional, but their friend as well. Her family and many friends are blessed with fond memories to treasure; and it was only fitting that Betty was a collector of angels, as she was often referred to as being an angel because of her kindness and compassion for others.
