Betty June Bieber's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - Betty June Bieber, age 92 of Charleston and formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her Mattoon Health Care Center home. Graveside Services honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan, Illinois with Pastor Walt Truex officiating. There will be no visitation. It is requested that memorial gifts in her honor be made to the First Church of God in Charleston. Gifts may be left at the Graveside Services or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. Betty was born in Sullivan, Illinois on May 12, 1919 to the late Charles W. and Esther M. (Bolin) Clark. She married William ""Fritz"" Bieber on October 18, 1941 in Georgia and they cherished sixty-seven years of marriage and friendship prior to his death on January 31, 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Armstrong and husband Paul of Marana, Arizona, Penny Smith and husband Richard of Indialantic, Florida and Judy Hutton of Charleston; six grandchildren, Carrie Smart and husband Terry of Marana, Doug Armstrong and wife Marny of Coral Springs, Florida, Scott Smith and wife Paula and Brian Smith and wife Jennifer, all of Charleston, Jennifer Ray and husband Jeff of Bellvue, Colorado, Erin Hanson and husband Rob of San Francisco, California; nine great-grandchildren, Amanda, Caitlyn, Ashley, Wade, Carley, Brandon, Austin, Molly and Blake; and one great-great-grandchild, Brody. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Clark and a sister, Norma Jean Horton. Betty was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the First Church of God in Charleston. For thirty-two years she provided wonderful care in her home for numerous children as their daycare provider. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who was committed to her family and truly cherished her relationship with them. She will forever be loved and fondly remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
