April T. Strange's Obituary
CHARLESTON, IL - April T. Strange, age 33 of Charleston, entered her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 while a patient at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to Ryan Strange to be used for their children's future. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service or may be mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. April was born on April 3, 1980 in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Alan and Carolyn (Elliott) Adams. She married the love of her life, Ryan Strange on May 19, 2002 and they have lovingly shared these past eleven years of marriage and have enjoyed an even longer friendship. In addition to her husband Ryan she is survived by her two precious daughters, Taylor, age 8 and Emma, age 6; her mother, Carolyn Hernandez of Robinson, IL; her stepfather, Artie Hernandez of Mattoon; her stepmother, Shirley Adams of Palestine, IL; a brother, Chad Adams and wife Michelle of Robinson; two step-brothers, Jeff Goodland and wife Staci and Greg Goodland and wife Katie, all of Palestine; several nieces and nephews; Ryan's parents, Ken and Linda Strange of Charleston; and Ryan's brother, Chad Strange and wife Laura of Lake Villa, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father. April was a 1998 graduate of Kansas High School. She was an employee of First Neighbor Bank in Charleston for more than eleven years and was currently serving as a loan officer. April was also an active member of the Crossfit Center. April possessed an energetic and enthusiastic personality which was accompanied by her familiar and ever-present smile. She was fun and outgoing and she helped to make group vacations with friends a good time enjoyed by all. April excelled in making her house a comfortable and inviting home that was always fashionably and tastefully decorated and her fondness for jewelry made certain that her wardrobe was always accompanied by accessories. Her love for her family was evident in all that she did - from a softball wife cheering from the bleachers to a proud and supportive Mattoon Academy of Gymnastics mom - April was always there for her family - she was their biggest fan. Ryan, Taylor and Emma can always reflect upon the abundant displays of her love and devotion for them. Their lives, along with those of the rest of her family and many friends, have been touched in such positive and loving ways and all will forever treasure their many memories.
