William C. Adams

William C. Adams, a lifelong resident of Coles County, IL left this world on May 14, 2023 at the age of 68 to explore a more infinite universe.  He was born January, 17 1955 in Mattoon, IL, the son of William Eugene Adams and Mildred Lois (Myers) Adams. He was affectionately known as Billy, Wild Bill, and Dark Cloud.  Billy loved nature, his family, good music, and a good drink or two.  The love of his children Eric Clifford and Abby Lee was unbounded.  He will miss them deeply on his journey, but knows the Great Spirit will reunite them when the time comes.  In the meantime, he will be enjoying the company of loved ones and friends that have gone before him. He was proceeded in death by his parents as well as his big brother, Denny Olszewski; beloved cousin, Charles Power; and son, Eric Adams.  He is survived by his daughter Abby and husband Brian Stevens; granddaughter Lauren Stevens; brother Justin and wife Joyce St. Michael; sister Dorothy and husband Terry Jolly; as well as many nieces and nephews.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In the meantime, have a beer, put on some Hendrix and toast the character that he was.  If so inclined, make a donation to a nature or animal charity of your choice.  In his own words, Goodbye!
