Pamela J. Muchmore

Pamela J. Muchmore, age 73, of Charleston, IL (formerly of Windsor, IL), went to join her husband at 2:22 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born July 16, 1950; the daughter of Dwight Wallace and Mary (Quigley) Wallace. She married Patrick Muchmore in Las Vegas, NV in 1980; he passed away November 14, 2000.    

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Thompson (Phillip) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Sydney Thompson of Charleston, IL, Jenifer Bawcum (Justin) of Charleston, IL, Bruce Thompson (Amber) of Carthage, NC, and David Thompson of NC; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Phillina Bawcum of Charleston, IL and Ysabelle, Sadey, and Kimber Thompson of NC; several cousins; best friend, Connie Bridges and her canine companion, Gizmo of Mattoon, IL; and granddogs, Annie, Bella, and Cholle. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, and sisters; Sharon Wallace, Cindy Wallace, and Jody Shriver.

Pamela was a graduate of Mattoon High School. She continued her education at Lakeland College in Mattoon, IL where she obtained her cosmetology license. Pamela worked several years as a secretary for the administration office at Eastern Illinois University prior to her retirement in 2013.   

Pamela was a proud member of Elks Lodge #623 in Charleston, IL. She loved spending time with her family, especially making memories with her grandchildren. Pam enjoyed boating and time spent with friends, having a few beers. She also enjoyed attending local farmer's market.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL.
