P. Pauline Tinsman Obituary

P. “Pauline” Tinsman, age 92, of Charleston, IL passed away peacefully in her home at 12:25 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born January 2, 1932, the daughter of Vernon Wade and Maggie Nevada (Ingram) Rardin. She married Wayne Martin Tinsman in 1950 in Toledo, IL. They were married for forty-nine years before he passed away in 1999.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Wright (Westley) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Mike Poulter (Maricar) of Chatham, IL, James Poulter (Tammy) of Charleston, IL, Jennifer Carver (Ron) of Ashmore, IL, Sara Coffey (Cory) of St. Joseph, IL, Jared Wright (Rainie) of Phoenix, AZ, Cameron Wright (Jessica) of Charleston, IL, Savanah Wright (Brandon Olmstead) of Colorado Springs, CO, Valori Wright (Tristan Griffin) of Charleston, IL, and Wade Wright (Sydni Elliot) of Charleston, IL; great-grandchildren, Tori Poulter of Mattoon, IL, Courtney Dundee (Wade) of Charleston, IL, Hannah Poulter (Devin Quinn) of Terre Haute, IN, Devin Carver (Tammy) of Ashmore, IL, Peyton Poulter of Charleston, IL, Hayden Coffey of St. Joseph, IL, Niall Wright of Phoenix, AZ, Nolan Wright of Charleston, IL, and Aaron McBride of Chatham, IL; great-great grandchildren, Kit Dundee of Charleston, IL and Ivy Carver of Ashmore, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three daughters, Reenie Poulter, Ella Waynette Hinchee, and Anita Tinsman, and ten siblings.

Pauline's roots run deep in Charleston, IL, where she has resided her entire life. Alongside her husband, Wayne, she played an integral role in supporting his local mobile home business, Northern Estates, until her retirement in 2000. In addition, she dedicated herself to nurturing their children and managing the household as a full-time homemaker.

Pauline was a member of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and found fulfillment in contributing to the women's group within her church community. She also volunteered her time assisting with cooking duties during the church's summer camp activities over the years. Pauline's unwavering love for her family shone through in every moment; she genuinely treasured the time spent with her family. She also found joy in crafting, particularly sewing images of pictures, flowers, and animals.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, IL with Rev. Ron Milburn officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Burial will follow service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon, IL.
