Marie Elizabeth Nixon, 29, of Charleston, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at her home in Charleston. There will be no services at this time. Adams Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials in her honor may be made to the family for the education of her daughter, Ava Nixon, and mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
Marie was born November 17, 1992, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Donald Harry and Dawn Erin (Ebersole) Cromwell. She married Joseph Wade Nixon on February 24, 2011, in Charleston, Illinois. She is survived by her parents, as well as her husband, Joseph Nixon; daughter, Ava Nixon; sister, Alexanderia “Allie” Lewis; brother, Donald Cromwell; and special friend, Kreig Upton.
Marie graduated from Charleston High School, class of 2011. She had a passion and talent for arts and crafts and opened Bravura Creations, a blown glass art business. Aside from being artistic, Marie was a free-spirited soul and enjoyed hiking and the outdoors. In recent years she enjoyed working as a caregiver. Her family and friends will miss her wonderful and colorful soul.
