Karen S. (McDade) Barringer

Karen S. Barringer, 58, of Charleston, Illinois formerly of Yorkville, Illinois passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022, within the comfort of her beloved, family-filled home. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until service time at the chapel.

Karen was born April 23, 1964, in Aurora, Illinois; the daughter of Thomas Lee McDade and Marjorie Dell (Grimston) Craig. She married her Soulmate, Dallas, on February 14, 2002, in Long Key, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Dallas Barringer; mother, Marjorie Dell Grimston; four daughters, Hannah Mae Kennedy, Janell Fasso, Jamie Truitt, and Jessica Barringer; two sons, Spencer Barringer and Dawson Barringer; six grandchildren, Alexander Fasso, Makayla Fasso, Zachary Fasso, Emma Jacobs, Tessa Jacobs, and Mia Barringer; two brothers, Mike McDade, and Jeff McDade; and several members of her large, blended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McDade; and stepfather, Jack Grimston. 

Karen was a graduate of Yorkville High School class of 1981. She gained many life-long friendships as a licensed Nail Technician and spent her last years working at Robin’s Salon in Charleston. She enjoyed many hobbies including scrapbooking, antiquing, DIY projects and had a passion for photography. She loved her pets, especially the cats but also the chickens. She would enjoy fishing, camping, and cookouts with family and friends. It gave her the opportunity to try new recipes which she loved. She will be missed by many friends and family.
