Joseph “Big Stud” W. Fulk, Sr., 89, of Charleston, Illinois, formerly of Brazil, Indiana passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 4, 2022. No services are planned at this time. Adams Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Joseph was born on January 18, 1933, in Brazil, Indiana the son of John and Hester (Lint) Fulk. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (friend Steve) Moutray of Charleston, Illinois and Jennie (friend Travis) Turner of Charleston, Illinois; two sons, David (friend Mandy) Fulk of Charleston, Illinois and Bobby (Amy) Fulk of San Antonio, Texas; stepson, Michael Sowers; two sisters, Ruby Barnett and Margaret Fulk; brother, Tom (Pam) Fulk; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings.
Joseph was a member of the Baptist Church in Cabool, Missouri. Around the age of 16 he worked on the railroad before moving on to truck driving and running his own lawn care service in his later years. He was gifted when it came to all things outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He will be missed by all who knew him.
