George Gyuran, Jr.

TOLEDO, IL – George Gyuran, Jr., age 71 of Toledo, Illinois, passed away on May 9, 2020 at his Villas of Holly Brook home in Charleston.  There will be no services and burial will be Monday, May 18, 2020 in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Veteran’s charity of the donor’s choice.

George was born December 18, 1948 in Springfield, Illinois, a son of the late George and Barbara Eloise (Wells) Gyuran, Sr.  As a veteran of Vietnam, he faithfully served his country with the U.S. Navy.   He is survived by a son, Troy (Julie) Gyuran of Alta Vista, Kansas and a daughter, Shallon (Chad) Graves of Clinton, Illinois; four grandchildren; and his brother, Gary (Linda) Gyuran of Mahomet, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of two years, Patricia Gyuran.

George was a member of the AMVETS organization and was employed by Mattoon Wal-Mart.
