Donna (Hartley) Ozier

Donna Ozier, 83, of Charleston, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at Heritage Manor in Bloomington, Illinois. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the funeral chapel. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Coles County Animal Shelter or the Charleston VFW and left at the visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL  61920. 

Donna was born November 2, 1939, in Waltonville, Illinois, the daughter of Ed and Doris (Green) Hartley. She married the love of her life, Gene Ozier, on July 16, 1960.  He preceded her in death on April 24, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Gena (Marvin) Mirick; two granddaughters, Rachel Bowling (Fiancé, Todd Anderson), and Jackelyn (Matthew) Galletano; one grandson, Jordan (Krissy) Mirick; eight grandchildren, Kate, Claire, and Brooke Bowling, Zoey, Jaxton, and Mila Mirick, and Georgia and Hattie Anderson; and one brother, Terry (Kathy) Hartley. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Hartley (Sr.).  

Donna graduated from Charleston High School. She worked as the bookkeeper for the Charleston Moose Lodge for 33 years before retiring. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge, Elks, VFW, and the Charleston Country Club. She enjoyed many years of bowling and golf league and was always up for going to garage sales and reading a good book. She will be missed by all who knew her.
