Diana Reynolds Obituary

Diana Lee Reynolds, 90, of Charleston, Illinois formerly of Lyons, New York passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Illinois. A Celebration of Life for Diana and her daughter, Deborah Reynolds will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Neoga Community Center, 641 West 6th Street, Neoga, IL 62447. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Coles County Animal Shelter and left at the celebration or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL  61920.

Diana was born June 24, 1932 in Geneva, NY the daughter of Luceas Charles and Ethel (Elsie) Mae (Joslyn) Hulster. She married Arthur Wesley Reynolds on October 28, 1950 in Phelps, NY and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2009. She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Reynolds of Ashmore, IL, and Michael (June) Reynolds of Neoga, Illinois; five grandchildren, Jeromy Reynolds, Kendra Bradbury, Kari Moore (Tim Wickman), Matthew (Theresa) Reynolds, and Marissa (Dave) LaVette; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter (Alexa) Reynolds, Tyler Bradbury, Robert Bradbury, Dylan Reynolds, Eleanor LaVette, Simon Reynolds, and Fiona LaVette; three sisters, Beverly Rodman, Bonita (Bonnie) Allen, and Linda (David) Nieskis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Reynolds; and great-grandchild, Dexter Lavette.

Diana was a member of the Lyons Presbyterian Church in NY, the Eastern Star- Sopha C. Chapter, and the Charleston Bowling League. She was a collector of stamps, antiques, crocks and jugs (ceramic), Mickey Mouse items, and basketball cards. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, sewing, and traveling. She especially enjoyed their trips to Maine in the travel trailer and would enjoy visiting the Civil War Battlegrounds along the way. She was known to be an animal lover and had several animals over the years; that include her pet cow, her donkey “Jack”, and many dogs and cats.  Her family was her world and she loved to take care of her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
