CHARLESTON, IL – Delilah Ann Davis, age 63 of Charleston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted family on Thursday, June 24, 2021, while at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The service, honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Charleston. Memorials in her honor may be made to her family and left at the visitation/funeral service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
DeAnn, as she was affectionately and lovingly known to many of her family and friends, was born July 12, 1957 in Charleston, Illinois, a daughter of John G. and Donna L. (Rose) Satterfield, Sr. DeAnn was a graduate of Charleston High School and she married Randall A. Davis, Sr. on July 18, 1975, in Charleston. In addition to her loving and devoted husband of nearly 46 years, left to cherish precious memories is her mother, Donna Satterfield of Charleston; her three children, Randall A. Davis, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Alicia Daugherty and husband Chad of Charleston, and Christopher Davis and wife Amanda also of Charleston; five grandchildren, Eric Poe, McKinley Daugherty, Lilith Davis, Aurlaina Davis, and Maisse Davis; two brothers, John G. Satterfield, Jr. and wife Mary Ann and Jamie Satterfield and wife Peni, all of Lafayette, Indiana; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a grandchild, Tori Ashlynn Poe.
DeAnn was a talented artisan and a skilled glass blower. She was the owner of her own business “Inside the Rainbow” which specialized in stained glass, torchwork marbles, lampwork beads and jewelry. DeAnn’s expertise was recognized by many including the art department at Eastern Illinois University. She was musically gifted as well and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. At one time she sang in a gospel group which included her mother and brothers. DeAnn preferred spending time with her family which provided joyous and memorable times. She will be remembered as being devoted to all her family and often saying “above all else, I love my children”.
