Carolyn J. (Cox) Hall

Carolyn J. Hall, 79, of Charleston, Illinois went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the chapel. Burial will be in the Enon Cemetery following the service. Memorials in her honor may be made to the East Harrison Street Church of God and left at the visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL  61920.

Carolyn was born December 26, 1943 in Charleston, IL. She is the daughter of Charles Edward and Catharine R. (Pollard) Cox. She married the love on her life James F. Hall on October 20, 1961 in Ashmore, IL. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Jackie (Bill) McCord; son James “Bob” R. (Heather) Hall; six grandchildren, Tonya (Jason) Staggs, Billy (Kelly) McCord, Tyler McCord,

Garren Snow (significant other: Brenda Robinson), Devon Snow, and Derik Snow (significant other: Hope Cooper); five great grandchildren, Catharine Staggs, Amanda Staggs, Brooklynn Staggs, Elyanna Staggs, Micayla (Jared) Clapp, and six additional great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Barbara (Abu) Rahman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn graduated from Charleston High School, class of 1963. She worked at Cox Motors before fully retiring in 2020. She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church and currently was a member at the East Harrison Street Church of God in Charleston. Carolyn enjoyed playing the piano at church and had a talent and love for music. She loved gardening, flowers, canning and playing cards. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling to Pigeon Forge and Branson and would catch as many shows as she could. The true apple of her eye in life was her family and grandchildren. She is going to be missed by all who knew her.
