CHARLESTON, IL – Beverly June Cain, age 78 of Charleston, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 19, 2020 while at her Charleston Rehab and Health Care Center home. There will be no services at this time.
Beverly was born July 2, 1941 in Charleston, Illinois and was one of eight children born to the late William Sumner and Mayme Ruth (Stites) Easton. She married Ronald A. Cain Sr. on April 25, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi and she was blessed to be the love of his life for nearly 63 years. In addition to her loving and devoted husband, Beverly leaves three sons, Ron Cain, Jr. and wife Jenny and Randy W. Cain and wife Tammy, all of Charleston, and Kevin A. Cain and wife Erica of Erie, Colorado. She adored her seven grandchildren, Les (Dena) Cain, Mike (Amber) Cain, Matthew Cain, Brittany Cain, Tristan Cain, Finneas Cain and Kristoff Cain; and her five great-grandchildren. Beverly is also survived by a brother Ben Easton of Lerna, Illinois, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Billy Easton, Bobby Easton, Burl Easton, Bruce Easton, Beatrice Joanne Sexton and Betty Lang.
East Harrison Street Church of God was Beverly’s church home. She was an avid reader, and her talents as a crafter were recognized when she owned her own successful craft shop named the “Crafty Corner” located in Toledo, Illinois. She also owned her own cleaning business and cleaned houses and small businesses in the Charleston area but it was her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker that she cherished. She was a master at creating a warm and loving atmosphere for her family and all those who visited their home. Taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was always a priority for Beverly – they were all lovingly referred to as “her babies”. Beverly’s family and many friends affectionately called her their “June Bug” and they will truly miss this wonderful woman who so freely and generously gave of her love and affection.
