Barry Jason Goble, age 52, of Charleston, IL passed away at 2:29 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care in Charleston, IL. He was born July 16, 1971 in Paris, IL, the son of Raymond and Donna (Cross) Goble.
Survivors include his siblings, Randy Goble of Ashmore, IL, Gary Goble (Maria Elena) of West Lafayette, IN, and Patty Levy (Barry) of Mason, OH; brother in law, Gordon Harvey of CO; nephews, Mark Goble of Greenbrae, CA and Christopher Goble of Manhattan, NY; nieces, Priscilla Goble (Alex Howell) of Buda, TX and Jennifer Holtschlag (Tony) of Olney, IL; great nieces and nephews, Bryer Holtschlag, Mariella Howell, Jonas Howell, Soraya Howell, Lilliana Goble, Ronan Goble, Nylah Goble and Noor Goble. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Harvey.
Barry was a graduate of Armstrong Center in Mattoon, IL. He resided in a Community Integrated Living Arrangement provided by CCAR Industries in Charleston, IL. He was an active participant at Camp New Hope and enjoyed attending Special Olympics events. Barry loved visits with his mother to Dairy Queen, he lived for ice cream sundaes! Barry made an impact on every person that he met. Every staff member who has been a part of his life has nothing but fond memories of their time together. He had a delightfully wicked sense of humor and was an inspiration to keep going when times get tough.
Private funeral services will be held at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, IL. Private burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Westfield, IL.
