Alexandra Michelle "Ally" Schwartz

Alexandra Michelle “Ally” Schwartz, age 23, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born December 4, 2000 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Jeff G. and Tabatha L. (Schwartz) Mason.

She is survived by her parents, Jeff and Tabatha Mason of Paris, IL; daughter, McKaylynn Brookins of Charleston, IL; son, Landyn Brookins of Charleston, IL; sister, Abigail Mason of Terre Haute, IN; maternal grandparents, Denny and Kimberly Schwartz of Ashmore, IL; aunts, Melissa Schwartz of Chicago, IL, Phylicia Schwartz of Ashmore, IL, and Alexis Schwartz of Ashmore, IL; uncles, Clarence Gosnell (Jerri) of Paris, IL, Danny Schwartz (Rachel) of Ashmore, IL, and Michael Schwartz of Decatur, IL; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clarence and Norma Gosnell and brother, Jeffery Lankster.

She was a 2018 graduate of Charleston High School. Ally pursued a career as a forklift driver, bringing dedication and enthusiasm to her work at Rural King in Mattoon, IL, over the past six months. Prior to this, she worked at McHughs in Mattoon, IL.

Ally found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for exploring the open road, finding joy with anything that involved the lake, and singing karaoke. A lover of nature, she found peace in fishing; she was a true “Tomboy.”

Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Private inurnment will be in Mitchell Cemetery in Ashmore, IL at a later date.
