Judy (Friese) Morgan

Judy Morgan, 72, of Charleston, Illinois formerly of Mattoon, Illinois passed away peacefully Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials in her honor may be made to Charleston Rehab and Healthcare and left at visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, Illinois 61920.

Judy was born September 10, 1950 in Mattoon, IL the daughter of Henry E. and Lucille (Atchley) Friese. She married the love of her life Jackie Morgan on February 16, 1979 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2017. She is survived by her five children, Brian E. (Kim) Morgan of Mattoon, Illinois, Angie Neal of Tuscola, Illinois, Keith (Hope) Morgan of Charleston, Illinois, Wendy (Brian) Varda of Casey, Illinois, and Michael Morgan of Charleston, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Mathew Morgan, Dalton (Katherine) Neal, Owen Neal, Paige (AJ) Rodriguez, Bethany Wilson Varda (Fiancé: Devon Metzger), Brianna Wilson Varda (Shawn Douglas), Stephan Varda, Tapanga Morgan, and Tresten (Zoey) Mallernee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Friese.

Judy graduated from Mattoon High School. She worked as a nursing assistant at Heritage House in Charleston. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Mattoon. She enjoyed sewing by hand and was a very simple woman. She will be missed by all who knew her.
